Black n' Red sponsorship helps Alex go mobile

On Friday 26 May, one of The Daily Telegraph’s most popular characters went mobile with help from the nation’s favourite brand of notebook.  Alex, an institution on The Daily Telegraph’s business pages for over thirteen years, is now available for fans to download to their mobile phones for the very first time.

Keeping readers entertained on the move, the new WAP service means that users can access their daily dose of Alex’s wry wit and wisdom, free of charge, wherever they are.

Sponsored by Black n' Red notebooks, the WAP service provides Alex fans with the opportunity to access that day’s cartoon at their leisure. There is also an archive facility so fans can go back and download their favourite cartoons.

Jane Rowe, John Dickinson Stationery Marketing Director comments:  "John Dickinson are delighted to associate Black n' Red with Alex.  The 'business institution' position is as much true of Alex, as it is of Black n' Red, a 42 year old brand with huge and growing loyalty.  It is a great opportunity to move and develop both Alex and Black n' Red via up-to-the minute media channels.”

Alex Creators, Russell and Charles said: “"We are delighted that this new facility will allow Alex fans to download and enjoy Alex cartoons during meetings, at dull presentations, in the opera box, at the cricket and on numerous other occasions when they really should be doing something more responsible "
